Workplace Walking Program Evaluation

Evaluating your workplace walking program allows you and management to see how effective the program is and to identify possible areas for improvement. Some ways to examine the success of your program include measuring: 

  • Staff participation levels over time
  • Number of participants' absences versus non-participants'
  • Turnover amongst participants versus non-participants
  • Increase/decrease in health care benefit costs since implementation
  • Staff morale over time via surveying and comparing the results of participants' and non-participants' answers
