Laura Blumenthal, of ‘Vancouver Walking Meetup Group’ uses www.meetup.com to organize regular walks amongst her walking group. “Using meetup.com to organize events is an easy, relatively painless way to get people together,” she says. The group has been in existence since 2005 and now boasts over 1,000 members who are all encouraged to take place in regular walks.
